| Catwalks
and platforms are used to provide personnel access
to many locations in a facility. Exterior applications
generally require open style grating with an aggressive
traction surface. Interior installations typically
utilize either open expanded metal catwalk or
formed deckplate designs. |
 |
| Stairs
are rapidly becoming required as the primary means
of access to equipment platforms and conveyor
catwalks. Standard stair configurations consist
of horizontal stair treads bolted between fabricated
or structural steel stringers, with integral handrail
factory welded to the stringer assemblies. Treads
are available in either Grip-Strut, expanded
metal, or formed deckplate designs. Multiple tread
widths and stair incline angles are available
to match specific applications. |
 |
| Ladders
may be used for secondary access or as the primary
access to infrequently utilized areas if permitted
by local codes and/or insurance regulations. Ladders
require very little floor space compared to stairs,
and are easily adapted to existing installations.
Safety cages, mounting brackets, and other accessories
are available to complete the ladder installation. |
